Economics and Liberty

Whoever defines terms for you controls your life.  In a Patriarchal Paradigm it is the Father who defines the terms (sets policy).  In a Heresiarchal Paradigm is it the children (in adult bodies) who define the terms (set policy).  The former is a "top-down" system with the one at the "top" determining for those "below" what is right and what is wrong behavior, i.e. right thinking and acting and wrong thinking and acting. The latter is an "equality" system with the children (in adult bodies) determining for themselves what is right and what is wrong behavior, according to their feelings and thoughts.  The former presents, through preaching and teaching, what is right and wrong thinking and acting for those below his authority while the later, though dialoguing their opinions, 'discover' what is right and what is wrong thinking and acting according to their own nature, i.e. according to the children's own feeling, thoughts, and actions in the 'moment.'

Economics comes into relevance in that money represents stored up dopamine, i.e. stored up pleasure or "enjoyment."  While the dialectic process sees the children as the source for proper human behavior, the approaching of pleasure and the avoiding of pain, those of the Patriarchal paradigm see the Father as the source for proper human behavior, doing right and not doing wrong according to His will.  The "morals" and ethics of the children (the many, drawn to the world in pleasure) are different than the moral standards of the Father (the one setting standards for the many), under God—the earthly father being subject to "human nature" (as the children), under His Heavenly Father's authority restrains it, likewise, restraining it in his child's actions as well (if not in his thoughts).

 Money, under the Patriarchal Paradigm, is the Father's.  He gives it to His children only if they reflect His morals in their use of it.  If the child instead reflects his own morals, which are counter to the Father's will, the Father will not give him any more of His money, so that the child can not use it to support his immoral behavior.  Therefore the child is subject to the Father's will, not only in whether he will receive money from His Father, but also in how he is to spend it.

Economics, according to dialectic 'reasoning' is not to be in the Father's hands, dictating morals in relation to its use (restraining the child's natural behavior), but rather be to in the children's hands (plural, i.e. united as one in what they have in common, their carnal "human nature"), reflecting (sustaining) their "morals."  Therefore the Father must be separated from His money, i.e. negating His "Mine, not yours" way of thinking and acting, so that His money can be "equally" distributed to the children, according to their "felt" needs, i.e. according to their "morals," making it "Ours, not just yours."  While the lower and upper class tend to use money as children freed from the moral stands of their Father, the middle class represents a class of people who tend to use money as their Father uses it, respecting their Father's authority.   This makes it difficult for the "children of disobedience" to gain access to the "children's" Father's money.  Only if all the children can become united in "equality," thinking and acting according to their "human nature," can they, in the name of "equality," negate the authority of the Father over His money, gain access of His money, using it in supporting their immoral actions.

Liberty to use money, as "human nature" leads, i.e. for the cause of immorality, is the 'purpose' of those of dialectic 'reasoning.'  Liberty, to those of the Patriarchal Paradigm, is liberty from the controlling influences of "human nature," liberty of the person being controlled by the environment, via the effects of the Father's chastening upon the child, restraining (blocking or inhibiting) his immoral behavior.  Liberty therefore is bound up in the freedom of the conscience (which comes from the one, i.e. from the Father, the child having a clear conscience as the result of doing right and not doing wrong, i.e. overcoming (not participating in) the temptations which were thrown at him from the world, i.e. from the environment or situation, i.e. not letting his "human nature" control him in his contact with the world).  For a world of "equality," based upon "human nature" (the approaching of pleasure and the avoiding of pain) liberty of the flesh (which is man controlled by the environment, i.e. influenced by the situation) is bound up in his freedom from the conscience, in his freedom from the Father (called the super-ego).

It is in dialectic 'reasoning' that the child (in adult body) can have the Father's money and be immoral, i.e. can disobey the Father with no "guilty conscience," i.e. doing "his own thing" with not knowledge of, disregarding, or denying the consequences of his thoughts and actions, and call it life, not being aware that he has lost his freedom (lost his Father's inheritance of freedom, liberty, and life).  As Carl Rogers, quoting Skinner, wrote:  "Walden Two: 'Now that we know how positive reinforcement works [the dialoguing the opinions of the children, how they "feel" and what they "think," to arrive at a consensus, i.e. a "feeling" of "oneness"), and why negative doesn't' [the preaching and teaching of an unchanging (established) truths to the child, chastening him when they are not learned or they are ignored, disregarded, or rejected] ... 'we can be more deliberate and hence more successful in our cultural design.  We can achieve a sort of control under which the controlled, though they are following a code much more scrupulously than was ever the case under the old system, nevertheless feel free.  They are doing what they want to do, not what they are forced to do.  That's the source of the tremendous power of positive reinforcement―there's no restrain and no revolt.  By a careful design, we control not the final behavior, but the inclination to behavior―the motives, the desires, the wished.  The curious thing is that in that case the question of freedom never arises."  (Carl Rogers, On becoming a person)  The scriptures warn us:  "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 14:12 emphasis in original.

    "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 1:26
    "Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:34-36

"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness."  Romans 8:16-18

This nation was formed upon the ideal of liberty, of inalienable rights,' of individual rights under God, of private property, i.e. the right of the Father to say "Mine, not yours," establishing his morals and religious views upon the next generation, restraining them from the praxis of tyranny.  John Adams, signer of the Declaration of Independence, knew the necessity of the Father's authority in maintaining this nation.  He stated: "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion . . . Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."  In a letter to his wife he wrote: "A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever." 

Even those who sought to overthrow it from within, knew this truth. Max Horkheimer, director of the Frankfurt School, a group of Marxists who came to American in the 30 who's work this nation is now established upon, wrote: "For the men who made the Constitution there was no principle that did not derive its authority from a religious source."  "Government and its trust is 'found on the nature of man, that is, on the will of his Maker and . . . [is] therefore sacred. It is an offence against Heaven to violate that trust.'" (Max Horkheimer, Eclipse of Reason)  What the Constitution afforded the citizens of this nation was the right of the Father to raise his family according to His beliefs and values, establishing the next generation upon the understanding of moral and and religious belief, restraining it from the tyranny of democracy.  That has now been lost.  This nation is now 'changed' because of its rejection of the Father's authority over his family, property, and business.  "Once the parent [the Father] can in any way imagine his own orientation to be a possible liability to the child in the world approaching the authoritarian family is moribund, regardless of whatever countermeasures may be taken." "The consequences of family democratization take a long time to make themselves felt—but it would be difficult to reverse the process once begun." (Warren Bennis,  The Temporary Society)

It has now become a nation of "liberty" from God, a nation of "human rights" over and against the individual rights of man under God (from which we derive inalienable rights). It is now a nation of men thinking and acting according to their carnal nature (like drug addicts seeking after more pleasure, continuing to go into debt to, i.e. into slavery to their carnal nature).  It is now a nation of thieves, taking that which is not theirs to take, i.e. taking other peoples money, including their own children's inheritance to support their immediate carnal gratifications.  It is now a nation of children ("children of disobedience") united as "one," chanting in consensus "Ours, not just yours."  It is now a nation of abomination, having an appointment with judgment, wrath, and death.

 "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."  "And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."  1 John 2:15, 16, 18 

"For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."  Romans 8:5-11

"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.  Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.   When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.  Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.  Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds [Greek, praxis]; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him."  Colossians 3:1-11

"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds [Greek, praxis] of the body, ye shall live.  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.  For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.  The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together." Romans 8:12-17
